Amuse

Go Get That Grammis Simon

Go get that Grammis, Simon

Could Simon Superti be the most productive guy in Sweden right now? 🤔 He just landed his very first Swedish Grammy nomination and we can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.

Amuse, amuse

Simon is a very good friend of ours and one of Amuse’s first signings. In less than a year, the Uppsala born producer/rapper/singer has:

  • released two full length albums, his debut album PRODOTTO, and the smash hit Pusher with the great Dani M.

  • Dani M is in good company. Simon has been doing songs with and for pretty much all of Sweden’s rap elite. Z.E, Vic Vem, Adel, Parham… The list goes on.

  • A few weeks ago he had 9 tracks on Spotify’s 100 playlist. At the damn same time. That’s the biggest Nordic hiphop playlist.

Yeah, you get the point. Well, today he finished off the year with getting a Swedish Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year. We called him up to say congrats and to ask him a couple of questions:

Where were you when you found out about the nomination?

I was hanging out at a hotel room abroad when Felicia at Amuse called me. I mostly remember saying “Are you serious?”.

When did you start making music?

I started writing lyrics and dreaming about a career around 2002. But it wasn’t until 2016 that I started producing.

You’re a man of many skills. What do you enjoy most, producing, rapping or singing?

I really like the combination. The feeling of being able to sit in a room, all by yourself, and create a whole album from scratch is pretty indescribable.

So, what can we look forward to next year…?

I’m going to keep at it. But I’m definitely aiming for working with some new people. Maybe outside of Sweden…

Thanks Simon! Take our advice and go listen to him now.
